on Brodhead Creek
4 bedroom, 3 bath, sleeps 12
Located in Canadensis PA (20 minutes north of Stroudesburg) overlooking the most famous trout stream in the area! The Brodhead Creek is the birthplace of trout fishing and fly fishing in America and the Frogtown Fishing Shack is ideal for fishermen, hunters, hikers, skiers, sportsmen of all ages and groups of any kind.
Sit on the front deck and see and hear the Brodhead Creek in front of you!
The property includes a full quarter-mile of Brodhead Creek, so there's plenty of room for everyone. And because the Upper Brodhead is all privately-owned, you have the Creek to yourselves.
Upstairs, there are two big bedrooms and a loft bedroom above the kitchen. The master bedroom has its own bathroom and walk-in closet. Another full bathroom is in the hallway to the guest bedroom. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with dishwasher, range/oven, ice-dispensing refrigerator and various appliances.
Please enjoy the fireplace in the living room!
Downstairs, there's a library with a fireplace, a pool room and a home theater with a full-kitchen wet bar. There's also a workshop area, full bathroom and a utility room with a clothes washer and dryer. The bunk beds are on this level, and we keep a couple of fold-up cots on hand, too.
A large outside deck in the front of the house has two seating areas and overlooks the creek. The smaller deck in the back of the house features the grill and outdoor dining area.
Bedroom 1 – 1 queen
Bedroom 2 – 1 double
Bedroom 3 – 1 double
Bedroom 4 – 2 bunk beds
Game Room - 1 Sleeper-sofa
Plus 3 cots
The Fishing Shack was built in 2011 but there's no telephone, cable TV or Internet service. That's because the owner wants to keep the place as a real getaway. You can count on 3 bars of 4G wireless service, so your cellphone or tablet will be your only connection with civilization. The TVs all have USB ports, so you might consider loading up a couple of movies on your tablet. You'll find plenty of DVD movies in the library.
The Frogtown Fishing Shack will be a wonderful place to spend a few days. It's close to all the regional attractions, very private, very clean, and exceptionally furnished for your comfort and amusement.

The Groom was Happy!
15 of us had a party for my brother and it was the most fun we've ever had. Tim has a beautiful house that is clean, spacious and homey. He went above and beyond by providing us with sushi, homemade meatballs, and home grown tomatoes and corn. There is a fire pit which was great in the evening. 3 different decks gave everyone their own space. We had such an amazing experience that we've discussed making it an annual retreat. I highly recommend the Frogtown Fishing Shack for your getaway needs.

First weekend in August, 13 of us stayed at the Frogtown Fishing Shack for our boys’ party. The place was unbelievable! Our host Tim was extremely friendly and accommodating. I knew he was gonna be a cool dude a few days before we arrived when he first reached out to me to help us plan for our arrival... he sent me a picture of a black bear cub in the driveway and I noticed the ELP decal on his car : )
When we arrived he showed us the ins and outs of the place. He had added a brand new bunk bed for us the day before we arrived because our group was on the larger side, but honestly the place was in tip-top shape and there was more than enough room for all of us to spread out and live like kings for a few days. On Friday it down-poured for most of the day but that didn’t stop us from having an awesome time. We put up a few pop up tents, provided by Tim, and between grilling some steaks, playing pool, darts and poker we were in great shape! The more adventurous among us went out into the Brodhead Creek and attempted to fish. The water was high and heavy and nothing was biting but we all know 98% of fishing is just drinking beer so again we were loving life! On Saturday the weather cleared and our return to the Brodhead was most enjoyable but still the water was high and fast so we didn’t catch anything, only strengthening our group resolve to return to this place for more action in the future! Thank you Tim for your awesome hospitality and thank you to Lisa & Lance of PLCR for hooking us up with the place, we look forward to our next adventure out your way!

The Most Gracious Host - Highly Recoomend!
5 of 5 Stars
Frogtown Fishing Shack was a great experience! Tim was one of the most gracious hosts I’ve encountered. Every bed and room was clean with linens and towels provided. There was rain expected so he helped set up tents on the deck to allow us to grill and hang out. We planned to go to skirmish for paintball on Saturday, but there was rain so we watched a movie on his home theater system. We went bowling (5 minutes away) and got hibachi then hit the casino (15 minutes away). Super convenient location and had a separate bed for all 13 guys that stayed over for the bachelor party. His pool table and poker table also got a lot of use! Would highly recommend!

Great Hosts, Beautiful Home!

8 of us (guys) stayed here for a reunion type of weekend. This cabin wasn't our first choice but after several people backed out this cabin was better for our size group so we went with it. Once we arrived, we were immediately happy with our decision. The local host, Tim, was amazing - even had a whole bunch of beer, snacks, and frozen burgers waiting for us! He also was a great resource to find out about the area and was always just a call away if we needed anything. Lisa & Lance from Poconos Log Cabin Rentals made the booking process very easy, and gave us a few dozen recommendations tailored to bachelor parties in the area. Their recommendations had a little of everything - casinos, restaurants, gun ranges, go-karting and the list goes on. The location is great if you want to get away from busy cities/towns, but not too far from main highways so it is easy to reach. There is a stream in front of the house, and woods in the back - giving it a very secluded feel. One piece of advise, the house has heating but no central air conditioning so pack appropriately. There are ceiling fans everywhere, and the first floor is in the side of the mountain so it stays pretty cool. We went at the end of July - in the middle of a very hot summer - and nobody had any issues. It was low 70's at night in the first floor and maybe 3-5 degrees hotter in the upstairs bedrooms. Absolutely would visit again! Great hosts, beautiful home, and a great place for a reunion with friends!

Myself, along with 5 other friends stayed at the Frogtown Fishing Shack. Tim was a great host and was very accommodating. He was a phone call away if you needed anything. Lisa and Lance were also very helpful by providing us with a list of different activities to do during our stay. They recommended the UTV tour at Pocono Manor, which was well worth it. The cabin itself was clean, spacious, and had a stocked kitchen with all the utensils and cookware. While at the cabin, we played pool, threw darts, drank beer, grilled, and sat around the fire pit. Great weekend!

Thank you email 7/27/18
Lisa and Lance, thank you so much! We had such a great weekend at the Frogtown Fishing Shack, the owner, Tim, was great and the caterers were as well. The photos on your site don't do the place justice, we loved it! The only negative was the rain but we made the best of it. Anytime us or anyone we know is planning a trip to the Pocono's we're definitely going to reach out to you :)

The Host with the Most
5 of 5 Stars
9 of us stayed at the Frogtown Fishing Shack the weekend of July 13. Tim was "the host with the most" and stocked his place with everything you may need. We didn't leave the cabin just played games and did a little fishing. We had a fire on the back deck, grilled, played pool, and some yard games. It's not to far from town if you need to go get something. We went and got it even though Tim told us he would grab us anything we needed from in town. Tim is like Siri as he is always there to answer your questions. Great weekend and everyone enjoyed it!

Way More Than a Shack!

Awesome and well kept cabin. Great service from Tim Cutler who was available whenever we needed him. Frogtown fishing shack is way more than a shack. Had a bachelor party there for my best friend and it was a time we will not soon forget. Private and serene, and when we weren't fishing we had more than enough to do inside, from shooting pool to playing poker. Would definitely recommend to anyone and hope to go back next year.

Absolutely Everything We Needed!
5 of 5 Stars
"Just got home from a fantastic weekend getaway at the Frogtown fishing shack in Canadensis Pennsylvania. I heard how great this place was through a friend, and saying I wasn't disappointed is an understatement. As far as hosts go, you couldn't ask for better than Tim. He was overly attentive to our needs, and Way Beyond accommodating. We wanted for nothing the entire weekend. Absolutely everything we needed was supplied by Tim. Clean bed linens, towels, a fully stocked refrigerator and Bar. We were a party of 7 and enjoyed cooking out on the back deck. The river levels were down but we managed to find a hole with an unbelievable number of trout, mostly Browns in the 15 to 18 inch class. We caught 11 and release them all for others to enjoy. There was one Bruiser swimming around that had to be 22 inches and 4 to 5 pounds.
We will be going back after him! Thanks again Tim for a wonderful experience and a trip I won't soon forget!" Joe P
A Great Time!

"My family and 2 sets of grandparents had a great time.
Tim let me know in advance what to do and what to expect from the time I booked. He gave me a list of groceries that he will purchase for me, as well as pictures of where he placed them, so that it was easily found. In addition, I was able to put in some groceries requests.
Tim gave me easy steps by step directions since Google Maps GPS was inaccurate (use Apple Map GPS instead of Google)
Tim was very helpful, he arranged and guided us for fly fishing instruction at no additional cost.
A very short short walk (next house) leads you to a natural river/brook across the house. It was very refreshing to be able to take a dip in a "natural pool" made by rocks.
We had a nice family chit chat gathering around the fire pit at the rear deck after dinner where we made smores. Tim also supplied wood for the fire pit and the indoor fire place. Everyone was very excited to be able to see a deer so close to the house.
The lower level was a nice touch for entertaining teenagers with 2 living room sets, pool table and darts. The family had multiple dart competitions.
All in all, we had a great time and would recommend this house and Tim was a great host."
