 Cabin is Perfect!

Decided to take grandchildren on mini vacation during Christmas break! We wanted to go snow tubing but unfortunately it rained most of the time. Luckily there was so many things to do hiking, bowling, making s’mores around campfire that they had a blast!! The cabin was perfect for us! Lisa was so helpful and returned our calls right away! This is a great home for both children and adults!!

Exceeded Expectations!

The owners went above and beyond to help us plan Thanksgiving at the River Lodge cabin including helping us reserve a fresh turkey from a nearby farm!  Our party of 10 was very comfortable in this spacious cabin and we enjoyed ourselves immensely whether we were having family time hanging out around the fireplace or venturing into nearby Jim Thorpe for the Santa Express train

THANK YOU! Everything was great and you made it so easy on me! You were extremely helpful and everything you suggested/mentioned was prompt and so accurate. Linens were there before we arrived, paintball was a breeze (especially checking-in) and the pig roast was the biggest hit of all. Awesome Cabin, with even better owners! 

I organized a 14 person weekend there in September, from Thursday to Sunday. Had an absolutely legendary weekend. The cabin was gorgeous, bedrooms were spacious, lots of places to sleep comfortably, kitchen was big, and the downstairs area was perfect for poker and pool. Oh and when you walk outside, you can literally hear the river down the hill, so soothing. Makes me want to go back to host another one! Perhaps the best part was how accommodating Lance and Lisa were about the entire process. They were BEYOND helpful with suggesting and setting up anything and everything we wanted to do, including calling The local Gun Range and setting up our reservation! They couldn’t have made it easier. We went to the local gun range, went ATV’ing, went to Mohegan Sun Poconos, and cooked up some delicious steaks on their outdoor charcoal grills. 

10 out of 10 experience!

Great Bachelor Party Weekend

Had a blast at the River Lodge. Golfed both days and came back and enjoyed the seclusion of this awesome place. Had some fun in town, but enjoyed hanging out and playing games at the house the best. All of the guys loved the location and would recommend it to anyone.

Family Vacay

My brother and I rented the cabin with our families. It was spacious and very clean. We had so much fun hiking, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. The river flows right by the cabin where you can hear it. It was so peaceful. We made so many memories and definitely will be coming back for more. Great stay at River Lodge

We stayed at River Lodge for my family's get-together,  To say we made the right choice is an understatement. There are plenty of places to rent from in the Poconos but none will make it as easy as Lance & Lisa did for us. They were very communicative and got back to me with answers to any questions I had. They also had no worries that we were coming up for a Bachelor party and even welcomed it by offering to set up some activities for my group. Couldn’t ask for a better experience and I will be recommending to friends and family

"The Best weekend of his life"

Thank you very very much for one of the best weekends I have had in quite some time! The groom actually said it was "the best weekend of his life" so it doesn't get much better than that! You were fantastic, always answering my calls and helping me every step of the way. The house was fantastic just an overall great setup, the weather was perfect, and everything you guys booked for us worked out flawlessly - I really couldn't be more grateful. I have no idea when the time may come but if I ever get married, there's a good chance I'll be reaching back out to you for my bachelor party or for any future Poconos get-together for that matter.

Phenomenal!

Recently had a great bachelor party weekend at the River Lodge. The cabin is in a secluded wooded area right off the highway. We had 16 guys and had more than enough space. Started the booking process in 2019. With Covid, actually had to re-book to 2021 (which was not an issue). Lance and Lisa were phenomenal with communication and suggestions during the process. They gave so many great recommendations and tips. Any questions were answered extremely fast. They ended up booking paintball for us. Great customer service. If you just googled "Poconos bachelor party rentals" and you have come across this result, just have peace of mind that when you book it your group is going to have a good time!

River Lodge ROCKS!

The River Lodge Log Cabin was perfect for our getaway.  We had 8 guys, all in our 40's, who went to college together.  It was a great guys weekend retreat.  The house itself was spacious and provided many activities and entertainment.  The pool table was in great shape and was used all weekend.  The TV's/Direct TV were great and in perfect working condition.  The decks, grilling area, fire pit were all perfect for our needs.  The house was only a few yards up a short path from a long/wide walking/biking path that we used on Saturday to get some exercise and enjoy the beautiful scenery.  The house itself came with some items to help us on our stay including TP, garbage bags, and some basics in the pantry.  Most importantly, Lance & Lisa (the rental agents) were ALWAYS on top of everything.  They were willing to make many reservations for us and answer any questions we had no matter what day it was or what time of day it was.  They are FANTASTIC!!  Thanks so much for an amazing time at River Lodge.  We will recommend your houses to our friends and hope to come back ourselves

 Perfect cabin for a large group!

We enjoyed being close to Jack Frost Big Boulder for skiing.

 Goals Accomplished!

I was looking for a unique experience in the Poconos for a bachelor party. It was important to me to stimulate the local rental economy. Even Better than the Pictures!

PLCR was very attentive and the pictures do not do justice to the house and location. The house is amazing , the way its set up is perfect. Great poker and pool table and plenty of games to play. Went with a group of 8 and there were extra beds available. Definitely enough room for a large group. PLCR was very attentive to us in a last minute trip and provided us all the information we needed. Not very far from skiing or paint balling , and close to the town of Hazelton . The cell phone service was really good so no one really used the hotspot we brought . We used the hotspot just to watch the football games with worked perfectly with the Apple TV we brought . But I promise you the house will keep you occupied enough to stay off your phone. We all loved this place and definitely recommend this house to anyone trying to get away! Thank You Lisa and Lance!

Amazing Weekend!

I, as the best man , wanted to plan an awesome Bachelor weekend for my brother in law and with the help of Lance and Lisa, it was achieved . They gave me options to chose from for food and so many activities , it was really a no brainer to go with them . They helped alleviate stress with planning and making this a really memorable trip . We opted for a day of golf and it was beautiful and all the food was amazing. The cabin was beautiful, spacious and had the amenities we wanted .  Exceeded Expectation! 

We booked the River Lodge and everything about it exceeded our expectations. Lance and Lisa made the planning process incredibly easy and stress free. They are extremely knowledgeable of all the activities in the area and helped us set up a golf outing. The cabin itself was clean, spacious and had plenty of amenities to make the weekend a blast. Both the upstairs and downstairs have large TVs with Direct TV for streaming the games and the game room featured a poker table and pool table. There is a fire pit outside and both the upstairs and downstairs feature large wrap around decks that were perfect just for hanging out. There is a path right off the back deck that leads down to the Lehigh River and you can hear the river while relaxing on the deck. I would highly recommend the River Lodge for any large group or family looking for a weekend getaway!

I along with closest friends stayed at the RIVER LODGE  for TWO NIGHTS! We love to compete, and this CABIN was without a doubt the place to be for us. We specifically loved the GAME ROOM downstairs! We played pool, poker and many other games all weekend! It was AWESOME! HIGHLY recommend the RIVER LODGE for anyone who wants a GREAT WEEKEND!

 We had rented this beautiful cabin and it couldn’t have worked out any better. Plenty of room , clean and well put together. Lance and Lisa were also very helpful with any other local activities and vendors we needed. They were able to book a beautiful day for us at a nearby golf course. Perfect Weekend

In planning a bachelor party weekend, I was looking for a great location, a hospitable host, and a place that would allow us to enjoy time with our friends, but also it's a bachelor party, so we needed some competition! For that, the cabin was just the right fit! The location was phenomenal, the property itself was well kept and in great condition, and the house amenities including the pool table, card table, fire pit, and spacious rooms, was perfect for a bachelor weekend. Lisa and Lance helped us along the whole way, including with local food vendors, paintball (which was awesome!), but more importantly, they were ready to help if we needed anything during the weekend. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a prime bachelor party house!

 Pure Perfection 

To say Lance and Lisa provided an amazing weekend is a complete understatement. They responded to me within an hour, late at night and for the next two days went above and beyond to make this weekend work for my brothers bachelor weekend. We had perfect weather to go along with a flawless cabin. Literally every part of the house - River Lodge - is pristine and perfectly laid out! The furniture and beds were extremely comfortable, game tables provided perfect down time, and the kitchen had everything We needed. The short walk down to the river is a must, it’s beautiful and the fishing we did was a blast. I promise you will never experience host’s like them, and you won’t find any other cabins like theirs. We already are talking about a return possibly during the winter for a weekend of snow boarding and skiing. Lisa and Lance THANK YOU! You definitely earned a group of lifetime renters!

Our 2nd Visit to the River Lodge

In my first review (see below), my fiance and I stayed at the River Lodge because our wedding was cancelled. We decided to return for a second visit with our kids. We had a blast!  We hiked, we went horse back riding, which was really fun at the Mount Laurel Riding Stables. We cooked hot dogs and hamburgers outside and then we built a fire and make S'mores. It was a weekend of relaxation and a lot of laughter. Lisa and Lance are very accessible and also have great suggestions on activities and places to eat. We are already thinking of going back to try one of the other cabins. You should check out the River Lodge though. You will love it!!

Perfect Getaway

My fiance and I came up for the weekend because our wedding had been cancelled so we were looking for secluded get away.  The River Lodge is only 1.5 hours from Long Island, NY.  When we pulled in, we were amazed.  The River Lodge is beautiful with a deck in the front and a large wrap around deck in the back with a view of the River.  Lisa, one of the owners stayed in contact with us to give helpful hints on what to do and where to go for supplies, etc.  We walked on the River walk, went into town and just spent some quality time in front of the wood burning fire!  Downstairs has a pool table, a card table and a bar!  On Saturday night, we were returning from picking up food and saw fireworks.  Lisa texted me that one of neighbors set these off in honor of our wedding day, which was very special to us. We were just blown away and look so forward to coming back  with our family.  I highly recommend you visit...SOON.

Perfect Cozy Getaway

We stayed in the River Lodge for the weekend to celebrate my fiancé’s 30th birthday. It was the perfect size for our family and friends to fit comfortably. We planned to go snow tubing since the house is close to Jack Frost / Big Boulder, but due to inclement weather everyone opted to hang out at the house since we were having such a great time anyway! The house has a poker table, pool table, and a large kitchen table perfect for board games. There is also a river near the yard that makes for a perfect hike, and an outdoor fire pit with lots of seating space. Lisa and Lance were extremely helpful in making the planning seamless and they promptly answered all of our questions about the house, open/close up procedures, etc. I highly recommend planning a trip here for the perfect cozy getaway!

Family Christmas Vacation - Amazing!

My family and I stayed at the River Lodge Cabin for Christmas and it was absolutely amazing!!! There was more than enough room for all of us (8 adults 15 children). The scenery was beautiful especially at night. The cabin was decorated with lights for the holiday and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you would need to make a Christmas feast. There is a Walmart 20 minutes away just in case. We didn't do any activities as it was a holiday and we spent the time watching movies, dancing, and playing games. There was never a dull moment. I highly recommend this cabin for any and all reasons. It's just absolutely beautiful and Lance & Lisa was the biggest help and available at all times if needed. We will be coming back for sure.

The cabin layout impressed all. Beautifully decorated, kitchen well stocked, games available, a wood burning fireplace added to our Christmas visit. Lisa and Lance literally made our time together.........MEMORABLE! Nicks Lake House brought family together for a delicious meal. Very Impressed - will definitely book again!

We stayed at the River Lodge cabin with 17 people.  We were very impressed with how amazing the log cabin was.  Very spacious and plenty of bedrooms to accommodate everyone in our party. Lance and Lisa made the planing so easy we just told them what we wanted and they had everything set up and ready to go for us. They set up paint balling , a whiskey and cigar bar and a pig roast for us.  It was so easy. I would highly recommend booking with Poconos Log Cabin Rentals!  We will definitely be booking again in the future.  10/10

Fun for Girls Too!

This was a girls trip to see the Poconos and surrounding area.  So happy we picked the River Lodge as our home base! From the very first email to our checkout, Lisa and Lance were helpful, informative and always prompt in their replies. The cabin is spacious, clean and in a beautiful wooded area just above the Lehigh River. We went exploring every day and then loved cooking at the cabin in the evening. The fireplace is wonderful to sit by and the decks outside are peaceful and private. We did some fishing (thanks, Lance!), visited Jim Thorpe, hiked the Lehigh River Gorge Trail, went to Hickory Run and Nescopeck State Parks, and had drinks/snacks at Nick's Lakehouse on Lake Harmony. Also went to a fun bar called Murphy's Loft. We girls had a great time and highly recommend the River Lodge.
